Used to destroy microorganisms in water, without requiring reaction time. Operating principle: The sterilizer uses a low-pressure UV lamp to generate UV radiation with a wavelength of 254 nm, which damages the microorganisms’ DNA, leading to their death or inactivation. The product does not alter the chemical composition of the water in any way and does not require the addition of chemicals.
Operating parameters:
– Pressure: 2–9 bar
– Minimum temperature: 4°C
– Maximum temperature: 30°C
– Lamp service life: max. 9,000 hours
– Voltage: 230 V, 50 Hz
Feed water parameters: For proper operation of UV disinfection units, the water quality at the inlet must be checked in terms of content of:
– Suspended solids: ≤ 0.5 mg/L
– Iron: ≤ 0.3 mg/L
– Manganese: ≤ 0.05 mg/L
– Hydrogen sulfide: ≤ 0.05 mg/L
– Hardness: ≤ 7 dH
Attention! Before the UV disinfection unit, the use of mechanical filters, ion-exchange units (if applicable), or any other filter/system that protects the quartz tube is recommended. Failure to use these will reduce the efficiency of the UV disinfection unit.
