PexKIT tubing with an oxygen barrier is utilized in underfloor heating systems, defined as Class 4, in accordance with standard EN ISO 15875-1:2003. For this application, manifolds with Eurocone fittings are available for pipes with diameters ranging from 14 to 20 mm. Material: Cross-linked polyethylene PE-X, cross-linking method with silanes PE-Xb. The oxygen barrier (EVOH ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer) prevents the ingress of atmospheric oxygen through the pipe’s molecules and, consequently, the oxidation of metallic components within the system.
