Elbows are made from high-density polyethylene compound, PE100 type, black in color. The PE100 compound is a homogeneous blend of polyethylene, antioxidants, pigments, and UV stabilizers. The PE100 raw material complies with SR ISO 4427-1 and SR EN 12201-1. Manufacturing: The elbows are made from welded segments. Reference standard: SR EN 12201-3: Plastics piping systems for water supply, service connections and pressurized drainage and sewerage systems — Polyethylene (PE). Part 3: Fittings. Use in drinking water supply networks with operating pressure PN 10 bar, installed buried in the ground. Service life is 50 years, corresponding to a service temperature of 20°C and a working pressure equal to or lower than the PN for which the fitting was manufactured. Joining method: – butt welding with fittings/pipes with the same SDR. – electrofusion. Approvals: Technical approval and technical assessment for use in construction in Romania. Sanitary approval for use with drinking water, issued by INSP Bucharest.
