Three-layer PE100RC-PE100RC-PE100RC pipes are used in pressurized water supply networks (including drinking water).
Due to the increased resistance of PE100RC material to slow crack propagation, these pipes can be installed in open trenches without sand bedding, with the possibility of using excavated soil as backfill if it is compactable, or through unconventional installation methods (horizontal directional drilling, relining).
The pipes are manufactured by coextrusion, configured as follows:
- outer and inner layers - smooth and blue colored,
- middle layer (intermediate) - smooth, black colored,
made of high-density polyethylene with crack propagation resistance PE100RC stabilized to provide UV protection, in accordance with PAS 1075:2009.
