Three-layer PE100RC-PE100RC-PE100RC pipes are used in pressurized water supply networks (including drinking water).
Due to the increased resistance of PE100RC material to slow crack propagation and the protective layer, whose thickness is added to the standardized thickness of the PE100RC pipe, these pipes can be installed in open trenches without sand bedding, with the possibility of using excavated soil as backfill if it is compactable, or through unconventional laying methods (horizontal directional drilling, relining).
The pipes are manufactured by co-extrusion, configured as follows:
-the outer and inner layers - smooth and blue,
-the intermediate layer - smooth (plain), black,
made of high-density polyethylene with crack propagation resistance, PE100RC, stabilized to provide UV protection, in accordance with PAS 1075:2009-4.
