The elbows are manufactured from black PE100 high-density polyethylene compound. The PE100 compound is a homogeneous mixture of polyethylene, antioxidants, pigments and UV radiation stabilizers. The PE100 raw material complies with SR ISO 4427-1 and SR EN 12201-1 standards. Manufacturing The elbows are obtained from welded segments. Reference standard SR EN 12201-3: Plastics piping systems for water supply, service lines and pressure drainage systems – polyethylene (PE). Part 3 Fittings. Use in drinking water supply networks with operating pressure PN 16 bar, installed buried in the ground. Service life is 50 years, corresponding to an operating temperature of 20°C and a working pressure equal to or lower than the PN for which the fitting was manufactured. Joining method – by butt welding with fittings/pipes with the same SDR. – by electrofusion. Approvals Technical approval and agreement for use in construction in Romania. Sanitary approval for use with drinking water, issued by INSP Bucharest.
