Reducers are made from black high-density polyethylene PE100 compound. The PE100 compound is a homogeneous mixture of polyethylene, antioxidants, pigments, and UV radiation stabilizers. The PE100 raw material complies with SR ISO 4427-1 and SR EN 12201-1 standards. Manufacturing: Reducers are obtained from mechanically processed extruded or injected semi-finished products. Reference standard SR EN 12201-3: Plastic piping systems for water supply, connections and drainage systems under pressure polyethylene (PE). Part 3 Fittings. Use in drinking water supply networks with operating pressure PN 16 bar, buried in the ground. The service life is 50 years, corresponding to a service temperature of 20C and a working pressure equal to or less than the PN for which the fitting was manufactured. Joining method – by butt welding with fittings/pipes with the same SDR. – by electrofusion. Approvals: Technical approval for use in constructions in Romania. Sanitary approval for use with drinking water, issued by INSP Bucharest.
