This fitting is used in indoor drainage systems for the discharge of domestic wastewater under non-pressure flow conditions (where the leak test is performed at a maximum of 0.5 bar), particularly where sound attenuation from water discharge is desired.
Reference standard: EN 1451.
These fittings are black, mass-colored, single-layer, and made from PP with mineral additives.
The size range includes diameters from 32 mm to 160 mm.
The connection system uses a socket and gasket, requiring no special tools, adhesives, or solvents.
Acoustic performance is 16 dB for a flow rate of 2 L/s. The sound-absorbing properties are certified by measurements conducted at the Fraunhofer Institute in Germany, in accordance with EN 14366. The use of sound-absorbing clamps is recommended.
Fire behavior classification, in accordance with DIN 4102-1, is B1. For passages through ceilings, we recommend using fire-resistant clamps as a protective measure against flame propagation.
To reduce noise levels in indoor drainage systems, we recommend:
• Selecting a pipe and fitting system with good sound-absorbing properties;
• Ensuring correct installation design;
• Properly installing the system using appropriate products.
