Reduced tees are made from high-density polyethylene compound, PE100 type, black in color. The PE100 compound is a homogeneous blend of polyethylene, antioxidants, pigment, and UV-radiation stabilizers. The PE100 raw material complies with SR ISO 4427-1 and SR EN 12201-1. Manufacturing: Reduced tees are produced by welding a reducer/reducer assembly directly onto the larger-diameter pipe (see PNG sketch). Reference standard: SR EN 12201-3: Plastic piping systems for water supply, service connections and pressurized drainage and sewerage—Polyethylene (PE). Part 3: Fittings. Use in drinking water supply networks with an operating pressure of PN 6 bar, installed buried in the ground. Service life is 50 years, corresponding to a service temperature of 20°C and a working pressure equal to or lower than the PN for which the fitting was manufactured.
