Reducing tees are manufactured from PE100 high-density polyethylene compound, black in color. PE100 compound is a homogeneous mixture of polyethylene, antioxidants, pigments and UV radiation stabilizers. PE100 raw material complies with SR ISO 4427-1 and SR EN 12201-1 standards. Manufacturing: Reducing tees are obtained by welding a reducer/reducer assembly directly onto the large diameter pipe (see png diagram). Reference standard SR EN 12201-3: Plastics piping systems for water supply, service lines and pressure drainage systems – polyethylene (PE). Part 3: Fittings. Use in drinking water supply networks with operating pressure PN 9.6 bar, installed buried in the ground. Service life is 50 years, corresponding to an operating temperature of 20°C and a working pressure equal to or less than the PN for which the fitting was manufactured. Joining method – by butt fusion welding with fittings/pipes with the same SDR. – by electrofusion.
