VALDuotherm PP-R/PP-R+GF/PP-R SDR 7.4 pipe is used for interior installations for cold water supply, hot water and heating, as follows:
- Class 1 - hot water 60°C – PN8 bar; design temperature related to service life: 60°C/49 years + 80°C/1 year + 95°C/100 hours;

Linear expansion coefficient of PP-R/PP-R+GF/PP-R pipes is α = 0.045 mm/m K, which is why before wall mounting (surface mounting) of PP-R/PP-R+GF/PP-R pipes, the effect of pipe expansion or contraction must be evaluated. Correct installation of clamps or other types of supports and correct positioning of expansion compensators prevents uncontrolled pipe movement due to temperature variations during installation and operation periods. As a rule, installation expansion is compensated between 2 fixed points by changing direction, expansion loop or where not possible, compensators must be fixed between the pipe and structure. Installation fixing clamps (also called fixed points) are positioned near branches, valves or wall penetrations and sliding ones, mounted along the installation route at well-defined distances. This ensures installation alignment, support and controlled axial displacement. When installing fiber PP-R pipes in screed or wall, they are mounted in protective pipes with flexible structure, good insulators and capable of absorbing pipe expansion. In case of excessive expansion difficult to compensate through the insulating protective pipe, an expansion compensator must be calculated and installed. Attention, pipes must be installed at an acceptable depth under screed or inside the wall to avoid cracks, in addition, excessive internal stresses from joints must be avoided. Installation depth must be greater than or equal to 1.5 × pipe outer diameter. Threaded joints are not accepted in screed or wall. Pressure test is performed before final burial of the pipe/installation.
