black pipe made of high-density polyethylene type PE100RC with
exterior protective layer of additive polypropylene PP.
Polyethylene PE100 RC (Resistant to Cracks)
exhibits crack propagation resistance under
load, compared to PE80 and PE100.
The exterior layer, blue in color, protects the pipe against
mechanical stress, UV radiation and prevents
contamination. PE100RC pipe dimensions are standardized,
according to EN 12201-2, and the exterior PP layer
thickness is added to the standard pipe thickness.
Reference standard: PAS1075 (Public Available Specification) is a
technical specification published by Deutsches Institut für
Normung, covering characteristics, requirements and testing
methods for polyethylene pipes that can be installed
using unconventional methods.
Application
WaterPro PE100RC pipes are used in pressurized drinking water
supply networks, buried underground.
Unconventional installation methods:
Horizontal directional drilling HDD: used for laying new pipes or
reconstructing old pipelines. Suitable method for
areas where open trenches should be avoided (especially in
urban areas where installation and traffic disruption
costs are high).
Burstlining: breaking and replacing old networks.
Relining: rehabilitation of old pipes.
Approvals
DIN CERTCO Certificate of conformity PAS1075 Type 3, testing
performed in Lab. Hessel from Germany.
Technical approval and agreement for use in construction.
Sanitary approval for use with drinking water.
