Pipes with a PE100RC-PE100RC double-layer structure are used in pressurized water supply networks (including drinking water).
Thanks to the increased resistance of PE100RC material to slow crack growth, these pipes can be installed in an open trench without sand bedding, with the option to use the excavated soil as backfill if it can be compacted, or via unconventional installation methods (horizontal directional drilling, relining).
The pipes are manufactured by co-extrusion, configured as follows:
- the outer layer—smooth, blue,
- the inner layer—smooth, black,
made of high-density polyethylene with resistance to crack propagation, PE100RC, stabilized to provide UV protection, in accordance with PAS 1075:2009.
