Black high-density polyethylene pipe type PE100RC with a protective outer layer of PP with additives. A stainless steel wire is inserted under the protective layer to locate the position of the pipe.
The blue outer layer protects the pipe against mechanical stress, UV radiation and prevents contamination.
PE100 RC (Resistant to Cracks) polyethylene has the property of resistance to crack propagation under load, compared to PE80 and PE100.
The dimensions of the PE100RC pipe are standardized according to EN 12201-2, and the thickness of the outer layer of PP is added to the standard pipe thickness.
Reference standard: PAS1075 (Public Available Specification) is a technical specification published by Deutsches Institut fr Normung, which includes the characteristics, requirements and test methods for polyethylene pipes that can be installed by non-conventional methods.
Application
WaterPro PE100RC pipes are used in pressurized drinking water supply networks,
buried underground. The maximum installation depth
that allows pipe detection is 6 meters from the
lower generatrix, where the stainless steel wire is located.
Unconventional installation methods:
Horizontal Directional Drilling HDD: used for installing new pipes or
reconstructing old pipelines. Suitable method for
areas where open trenches are to be avoided (especially in
urban areas where installation and traffic disruption
costs are high).
Burstlining: breaking and replacing the old network.
Relining: rehabilitation of old pipes.
Approvals
DIN CERTCO Certificate of conformity PAS1075 Type 3, tests
performed in Lab. Hessel from Germany.
Technical approval and agreement for use in construction.
Sanitary approval for use with drinking water.
