This pipe is used in indoor drainage systems for the discharge of domestic wastewater under gravity flow (where the leak test is performed at a maximum of 0.5 bar), especially for building risers, where sound attenuation of water discharge from upper floors is desired.
Reference standard: SR EN 1329-1.
The white pipes are manufactured by co-extrusion from PVC-U with mineral additives, featuring a triple-layer wall construction, and are equipped with a socket and gasket at one end.
The size range includes diameters from 50 mm to 200 mm, with lengths between 250 mm and 3000 mm.
The acoustic performance is 11 dB for a flow rate of 2 l/s. The sound-absorbing properties are certified following measurements conducted in the laboratories of the Fraunhofer Institute in Germany, in accordance with EN 14366. The use of sound-absorbing pipe clamps is recommended.
The fire behavior classification of the piping, in accordance with SR EN 13501, falls into class C – s3 – d0. The material is fire-resistant and self-extinguishing once the fire source is removed. Unlike other materials for indoor drainage, PVC-U material is inherently fire-retardant, eliminating the need for additional fireproofing. When passing through ceilings, we recommend using fire collars as a protective measure against flame propagation.
To reduce the noise level of indoor drainage systems, we recommend:
• Selecting a system of pipes and fittings with good sound-absorbing properties;
• Ensuring correct system design;
• Correct installation of the system using appropriate products.
