This fitting is used in internal drainage systems for the discharge of domestic wastewater in gravity flow conditions (where the leak test is performed at a maximum of 0.5 bar), specifically where sound attenuation of water discharge is desired.
Reference standard: EN 1451.
The fittings are black, mass-colored, single-layer, and made of PP with mineral additives.
The size range includes diameters from 32 mm to 160 mm.
The connection system uses a socket and gasket, requiring no special tools, adhesives, or solvents.
Acoustic performance is 16 dB for a flow rate of 2 L/s. The sound-absorbing properties are certified following measurements conducted at the Fraunhofer Institute laboratories in Germany, in accordance with EN 14366. The use of sound-absorbing clamps is recommended.
The fire behavior classification, in accordance with DIN 4102-1, is B1. When passing through ceilings, we recommend using fire-resistant clamps as a protective measure against flame propagation.
To reduce the noise level of internal drainage systems, we recommend:
• Selecting a pipe and fitting system with good sound-absorbing properties;
• Ensuring correct system design;
• Correct installation of the system using appropriate products.
