This pipe is used in indoor drainage systems for domestic wastewater discharge in gravity flow systems (with a leak test performed at max. 0.5 bar), especially for building stacks where sound attenuation from water discharge from upper floors is desired.
Reference standard: EN 1451.
The black pipes are made of PP with mineral additives, featuring a triple-layer wall construction, and are equipped with a socket and gasket at one end.
The size range includes diameters from 32 mm to 160 mm, with lengths between 250 mm and 3000 mm.
Acoustic performance is 16 dB for a flow rate of 2 l/s. The sound-absorbing properties are certified following measurements conducted in the laboratories of the Fraunhofer Institute in Germany, in accordance with EN 14366. The use of sound-absorbing clamps is recommended.
The fire behavior classification of the piping, in accordance with DIN 4102-1, falls into class B1. When passing through ceilings, we recommend using fire collars as a protective measure against flame propagation.
To reduce the noise level of indoor drainage systems, we recommend:
• Selecting a pipe and fitting system with good sound-absorbing properties;
• Ensuring correct system design;
• Installing the system correctly using appropriate products.
