Used in indoor sewage systems for the evacuation of domestic wastewater in gravity flow regime (where the tightness test is performed at max. 0.5 bar), especially for building stacks, where sound dampening from water discharge from upper floors is desired.
Reference standard: SR EN 1329-1.
The pipes, white in color, are manufactured by coextrusion from PVC-U with mineral additives, in triple-layer wall construction, fitted at one end with a socket with seal.
The size range includes diameters from 50 mm to 200 mm, with lengths between 250 and 3000 mm.
Acoustic performance is 11dB for a flow rate of 2 l/s. Sound-absorbing properties are certified following measurements performed in the laboratories of the Fraunhofer Institute in Germany, according to EN 14366. The use of sound-absorbing clamps is recommended.
The fire behavior classification of the piping in accordance with SR EN 13501 is classified as class C – s3 – d0. The material is fire-resistant, with self-extinguishing properties when the fire source is removed. Fire retardant treatment is not necessary as with other indoor sewage materials, as PVC-U material is inherently fire retardant. When passing through ceilings, we recommend using fire-stop collars as a protective measure against flame propagation.
To reduce the noise level of indoor sewage systems, it is recommended to:
• Choose a system of pipes and fittings with good sound-absorbing properties;
• Ensure correct design of the installations;
• Install the system correctly using appropriate products.
