This product is utilized in internal drainage systems for the discharge of domestic wastewater in gravity flow applications (where the leak test is performed at a maximum of 0.5 bar), particularly for building risers where sound attenuation of water discharge from upper floors is desired.
Reference standard: EN 1451.
The pipes, in furnace black, are manufactured from PP with mineral additives, featuring a triple-layer wall construction, and are equipped with a socket and gasket at one end.
The range of dimensions includes diameters from 40 mm to 160 mm, with lengths between 250 mm and 3000 mm.
Acoustic performance is 16 dB for a flow rate of 2 L/s. The sound-absorbing properties are certified following measurements conducted at the Fraunhofer Institute laboratories in Germany, in accordance with EN 14366. The use of sound-absorbing clamps is recommended.
To reduce the noise level of internal drainage systems, we recommend:
• Selecting a pipe and fitting system with good sound-absorbing properties;
• Ensuring correct system design;
• Installing the system correctly using appropriate products.
