Used in internal drainage systems for the discharge of domestic wastewater in gravity flow mode (where the leak test is performed at max. 0.5 bar), especially for building risers, where sound attenuation from water discharge on upper floors is desired.
Reference standard: EN 1451.
The pipes, in furnace black, are made of PP with mineral additives, featuring a triple-layer wall construction, and are equipped with a socket and gasket at one end.
The range of dimensions includes diameters from 40 mm to 160 mm, with lengths between 250 and 3000 mm.
Acoustic performance is 16 dB for a flow rate of 2 l/s. The sound-absorbing properties are certified following measurements conducted in the laboratories of the Fraunhofer Institute in Germany, in accordance with EN 14366. The use of sound-absorbing clamps is recommended.
To reduce the noise level of internal drainage systems, it is recommended to:
• Choose a pipe and fitting system with good sound-absorbing properties;
• Ensure correct system design;
• Install the system correctly using appropriate products.
