GasPro pipes are utilized in natural gas supply networks with a maximum operating pressure (MOP) of 10 bar (reference temperature 20°C). GasPro pipes have been designed to: improve handling, storage, and installation conditions, and reduce associated costs. The core consists of a high-density polyethylene PE100 pipe for gas networks, in accordance with product standard requirements and current national regulations. A layer of additive polypropylene (PP) is applied externally during the manufacturing phase (co-extrusion) to increase its resistance to scratching and penetration. Polypropylene is approximately 3 times more resistant than polyethylene, and any damage exceeding the permissible limit is easily observable due to the different color of the protective layer. This layer serves to protect the pipe from mechanical stress and UV radiation, from the moment of manufacture until the end of its service life.
