GasPro pipes are used in natural gas supply networks with a maximum operating pressure MOP=10 bar (reference temperature 20°C). GasPro pipes were designed to: improve handling, storage and installation conditions and reduce the costs associated with these operations. The core consists of a high-density polyethylene PE100 pipe for gas networks in accordance with product standard requirements and national regulations in force. On the exterior, a layer of additivated polypropylene (PP) is applied during the manufacturing phase (coextrusion) to increase resistance to scratching and penetration. Polypropylene is approximately 3 times more resistant than polyethylene and any damage beyond the permissible limit is easy to observe due to the different color of the protective layer. This layer serves to protect the pipe from mechanical stress and UV radiation, from the moment of manufacture until the end of its service life.
