Above-ground breakaway hydrants are used for water supply in firefighting, within clean water networks with a maximum operating temperature of 40°C, a maximum pressure of 16 bar, and a frost depth of 1.25 m.
They are installed particularly in exposed areas because, in the event of an accident, the hydrant practically yields at the flange area and self-closes, preventing water from gushing out under pressure onto alleys or roadways.
Reference Standards:
EN 14384 Above-ground fire hydrants
EN 1092-2 Flanges and their joints. Circular flanges for pipes, valves, fittings, and accessories designated by PN. Part 2: Cast iron flanges
The DN100 hydrant has 1x A (4) + 2x B (3) connections
Epoxy paint protection 250 microns
The total height of the hydrant is 2150mm
It is equipped with an automatic draining device after the complete closing of the hydrant.
