Used in indoor sewerage installations for the discharge of domestic wastewater in gravity flow (non-pressure) conditions (for which the leak-tightness test is performed at max. 0.5 bar), especially for building stacks, where sound attenuation from water discharge from upper floors is required.
Reference standard: SR EN 1329-1.
The pipes, white in color, are manufactured by co-extrusion from PVC-U with mineral additives, with a triple-layer wall construction, fitted at one end with a socket with rubber seal.
The size range includes diameters from 50 mm to 200 mm, with lengths between 250 and 3000 mm.
Acoustic performance is 11 dB at a flow rate of 2 l/s. The sound-absorbing properties are certified following measurements carried out in the laboratories of the Fraunhofer Institute in Germany, in accordance with EN 14366. The use of sound-absorbing clamps is recommended.
The fire reaction classification of the piping in accordance with SR EN 13501 is class C – s3 – d0. The material is fire-resistant, self-extinguishing when the fire source is removed. No fireproofing is required as with other materials for indoor sewerage, as PVC-U is flame-retardant. When passing through ceilings, we recommend using fire collars as a protective measure against flame spread.
To reduce the noise level of indoor sewerage systems, the following are recommended:
• Choosing a pipe and fitting system with good sound-absorbing properties;
• Proper system design;
• Correct installation of the system using suitable products.
