Used in indoor sewer installations for discharging domestic wastewater in gravity flow without pressure (where the leak-tightness test is carried out at max. 0.5 bar), especially for building stacks, where attenuation of the sound produced by water discharge from upper floors is desired.
Reference standard: EN 1451.
The pipes, blast-furnace black in color, are made of PP with mineral additives, with a triple-layer wall construction, fitted at one end with a socket and gasket.
The size range includes diameters from 40 mm to 160 mm, with lengths between 250 and 3000 mm.
Acoustic performance is 16 dB at a flow rate of 2 l/s. The sound-absorbing properties are certified following measurements carried out in the laboratories of the Fraunhofer Institute in Germany, in accordance with EN 14366. The use of sound-absorbing clamps is recommended.
To reduce the noise level of indoor sewer systems, it is recommended to:
• Choose a pipe and fitting system with good sound-absorbing properties;
• Ensure correct system design;
• Install the system correctly using suitable products.
