Water meter chambers are compact, monobloc (without joints or welds) products made of polyethylene (PE), manufactured using rotomoulding technology. They are designed to protect the water meter and the connection installation. Manufacturing conditions and general quality requirements for water meter chambers are included in Valrom Industrie’s Company Technical Standard STF 9/2005. Double-layered wall construction variant: monolithic construction with an outer layer of compact material (mass-colored polyethylene) and an expanded inner layer of polyethylene with expanding agents. Component elements: water meter chamber body, insulation gasket for the cover, thermally insulated cover, and a 3/4″ installation generally consisting of: polyethylene pipes, compression fittings, and isolation valves. Customized installations can be made according to needs – DN15 or DN20 water meters. Benefits: The monobloc construction, double-layered wall, thermally insulated cover, and the design solutions for sealing the cover and the wall penetrations (rubber gasket for the cover and for wall penetrations) prevent water infiltration and protect the internal installation from freezing. The reinforced geometry, with horizontal and vertical ribs, provides mechanical rigidity to the chamber without increasing its weight and, implicitly, handling and transport time or costs. Approval and technical agreement for use in construction.
