Water meter chambers are compact, monobloc products (without joints or welds), made of polyethylene (PE), manufactured using the technology known as rotomoulding. They are designed to protect the water meter and the service connection installation. Manufacturing conditions and general quality requirements for water meter chambers are included in Valrom Industrie’s Company Technical Standard STF 9/2005. Construction version with solid wall: single-layer wall made of solid material (polyethylene colored throughout). Thermal insulation is required when installing the chamber. Benefits: The monobloc construction, the thermo-insulated lid, and the design solutions for closure and sealing of penetrations—rubber gasket at the lid and for wall penetrations—make water infiltration impossible and protect the internal installation from freezing. The reinforced geometry, with horizontal and vertical ribs, gives the chamber mechanical rigidity without increasing its weight and, implicitly, handling and transport time or costs.
