GasPro pipes are used in natural gas supply networks with a maximum operating pressure MOP = 10 bar (reference temperature 20°C). GasPro pipes were designed to improve handling, storage, and installation conditions and to reduce the costs associated with these operations. The core consists of a high-density PE100 polyethylene pipe for gas networks, in accordance with the requirements of product standards and applicable national regulations. On the outside, a layer of polypropylene (PP), compounded to increase scratch and penetration resistance, is applied from the manufacturing stage (co-extrusion). Polypropylene is approx. 3 times more resistant than polyethylene, and any damage beyond the permissible limit is easy to spot due to the different color of the protective layer. This layer protects the pipe against mechanical stress and UV radiation, from manufacturing until the end of its service life in use.
