Water meter pits are compact, monobloc products (without joints or
welds), made of polyethylene (PE), manufactured using
extrusion blow-molding technology.
They are designed to protect the water meter and the service connection installation.
Manufacturing conditions and general quality requirements for
water meter pits are included in Valrom Industrie’s Company
Technical Standard STF 9/2005.
Construction version with compact wall: single-layer wall made of
compact material (polyethylene colored in the mass). When installing the
pit, thermal insulation is required.

The monobloc construction, the thermally insulated lid, and the sealing solutions for
pass-throughs—the rubber gasket at the lid and for
wall penetrations—make water infiltration impossible and protect
the internal installation from freezing.
